Network Recruitment Partnership is pleased to announce the success of one of its clients within the Automotive Manufacturing Sector. Castalum based in Welshpool are an internationally acclaimed aluminium diecasting specialist. In recent months they have been honoured with three prestigious awards.
The success of the Welshpool based company comes after a year that saw many changes for the company, in particular following  a Management Buy Out in 2009. The new Management team was keen to bring the entire workforce together in order to make a success of CastAlum’s new independent status and sustain figures during the recent downturn.

Though the Manufacturing sector was one of the worst affected sectors during the recession CastAlum forged ahead with plans to invigorate the existing workforce and develop new skills using a clearly communicated statement of intent and a planned programme of capital investment totalling around £10 million. Peter Radcliffe, Managing Director of CastAlum said “We knew we had a great team here so when the opportunity came to take it back into local ownership, we ‘grasped the nettle’, provided the investment the business needed to succeed and got the whole workforce motivated and pushing forward. During the short time working we invested heavily in training, keeping people occupied and developing their skills as well as sending out a message of a new and more successful future.”

While the company invested in training its existing workforce it also increased its staff levels by over 61%. Network Recruitment Partnership supported CastAlum with the recruitment of specialist Engineers within the business. This was a particularly challenging campaign due to the location of the plant.

With continued support form the HR Department, Network Recruitment devised a highly targeted campaign that ensured Castalum’s success recruiting for these positions and growing their existing engineering team.
