Purchasing & Supply Chain
Interest in the concept of supply chain management has rapidly increased since the 1980’s. Leading organisations realised they could not effectively compete in isolation of their suppliers and recognised the benefits of collaborative relationships within and beyond their own organisation.
In 2012 on average, logistics costs represent 7.15% of European GDP, by comparison, estimated logistics costs represent 15 to16% of China’s GDP and 11 to 13% of India’s GDP.
Additionally, the function of buying teams within leading companies has evolved hugely over the last 15 years with purchasing now viewed as a subset of the wider procurement process. The procurement process fully involving establishing fundamental requirements, sourcing activities such as market research, vendor evaluation and negotiation of contracts.
Network's Supply Chain and Purchasing division focus on supplying high calibre permanent and interim hires to a number of Blue Chip and SME clients across the UK and Europe. We place a big emphasis on building long term partnerships with our clients and candidates taking time to understand their requirements and expectations and tailoring our services to suit them.
