A multimillion pound order has created an urgent requirement for an experienced
Planner to support the Project Engineering Department by creating project plans and schedules and assisting in determining priorities and critical path.

Location: West Midlands
( commutable from Telford, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, Kidderminster areas )
The Role
Duties:
" Use Microsoft Project to create schedules for new engineering projects to establish sequence and lead time of each engineering task to meet delivery dates.
" Work with Project Managers to establish milestone date links to production schedules.
" Confer with project managers to establish customer driven milestone dates in engineering schedules.
" Confer with project engineers, engineering technicians, and designers to determine status of assigned projects.
" Update engineering schedules with issuance or completion of engineering documentation.
" Compiles reports concerning progress of work to notify engineering and project management personnel of current status according to baseline schedules.
" Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen circumstances.
" Identify over allocation of resources and alters schedules to eliminate over allocations.
" Input to and update Global Engineering Schedules to identify and manage resources / capacity across multiple locations.
The Person
Applications are sought from Project Planners or Project Engineers/ Project Managers who are interested in working on a new long term engineering programme.
" Experience of project planning and scheduling within technical engineering or manufacturing environment (e.g. candidates could come from manufacturing, rail, defence, aerospace, construction or other industries where project scheduling and planning exist).
" Highly competent user of MS Projects
" High level of understand of project schedules and critical path.
Education / Qualifications:
* Degree or HND in Engineering or Business , Prince2, P3E
