A premium manufacturer of food ingredients based in Scotland requires a Research and Development Technologist to join their company.
The Research and Development Technologist will be involved in all aspects of product development, packaging development and manufacturing process, from initial concept through to product launch. The main focus will be on new product development, including concept definition, prototyping, testing, costing, manufacturing feasibility and market launch. Work with new and existing products whilst keeping up to date with new ingredients and trends. Excellent communication skills are vital as you will be liaising with internal business teams, external customers, suppliers and with technical, manufacturing and commercial colleagues.
The Research and Development Technologist should be educated to degree level or equivalent. Experience within the food/packaging industry or as a Development Technologist is an extreme advantage. Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to take on a challenging and rewarding role in an extremely fast paced department. Possess excellent planning and time management skills and have the ability to prioritise and manage projects to tight deadlines.
