Due to continued growth through global sales of high technology hydro-mechanical systems our client requires an additional Project Engineer to develop test strategies for new aerospace products.

Project Engineer 

Salary:             £28000 - £32000 + benefits

Location:         Birmingham, West Midlands

The mechanical engineer will work in a multi-disciplined engineering team responsible for designing, qualifying and providing support to the manufacture of complex hydro - mechanical products used in demanding environments.

Duties:

  • Production of qualification & test certification strategies, production of test declarations and test reports and  test waivers,
  • Development of technical procurement control specifications for supplied parts,
  • Interface with external suppliers,
  • Completion of qualification and development tests,
  • Interface with assembly & test organisation and completion of unit investigations
  • Previous experience of developing and qualifying either hydraulic, fuel control, pneumatic, pumping units or electronic enclosures

 Experience:

  • Qualified with an Engineering Degree/HND Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Previous experience of test, validation and qualification of  either hydraulic, fuel control, pneumatic, pumps, fluid control or electronic enclosures. Therefore a background in hydraulic systems and manifolds, fuel control, pneumatics, pumps, compressors would be desirable.
  • An understanding of fluid and thermal dynamics.
  • An understanding of the qualification and certification process related to aerospace products
  • You will be an effective communicator who feels comfortable talking to their peers within engineering, operations and supply chain. A self starter who is capable with dealing with a level of ambiguity and able to identify solutions to overcome problems. The capability to be able to work effectively either within a small team or on their own. A desire to develop both themselves and the capability of the business..
