Quality Engineer, Hampshire
An immediate requirement for an experienced Quality professional to provide support to a major aerospace component manufacturer.
Quality Engineer - contract
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Pay rate £25-30 ph (Ltd Co rate)
Duration: 6 months assignment
Duties:
o Advanced Quality Planning
o Product Inspection plans( goods inwards inspection)
o Process control plans
o First Article Reports to Aerospace Standard AS/EN 9102
o Component proving Aerospace Standard AS/EN 9103
o Leading and facilitating quality activities across a range of ongoing development projects
o Preparation for and performance of internal and external audits
o Hosting customers/regulatory representatives during audits
o Liaison with Customers in relation to project quality requirements (Will require some travel)
o Monitoring of non-conformance and the analysis of data, inc. customer returns
o Developing and improving documentation and systems within the company
o Control and maintenance of Quality records
o Co-ordination of corrective actions
o Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
Experience required
o Quality engineering preferably in an aerospace electro-mechanical industry
o Familiar with First Article quality reporting ans systems
o Good communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
o ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 quality specifications
o Experience with EASA/FAR regulations Part 21 and Part 145 desirable
o Able to use dimensional equipment as and when required
