Position: Materials Manager
Salary: £50k per annum
Location: Powys – commutable from Oswestry, Telford, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Newtown, Ludlow
An International business has a requirement for an accomplished procurement professional to join their business as a Materials Manager
You will be degree qualified and have gained your experience in sourcing and managing the supply of components for manufacture.
You will have proven success of working with a global supply base, creating a flexible and robust supplier relationship for the business, whilst achieving the best Total Acquisition Cost for the business without compromising on Quality.
You will have proven experience of managing and developing a team of professionals
You will have proven experience of devising and implementing procurement strategies for a global supply base.
You will be a strong negotiator, as you will be responsible for leading high level contract negotiations.
Experience of sourcing commodities such as Fabricated Parts, Electronics, Plastic Parts etc, would be expected.
You will also be responsible for the management of the Warehouse, Despatch and Planning Departments, therefore proven operational experience where you have implemented Operational Continuous Improvement practices is also expected.
