Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Maintenance Engineering Co-ordinator will manage all engineering activity on shifts in support of the Shift Production Managers. You will be working closely as part of a team consisting of a Shift Production Manager, Shift Quality Engineer and Shift Engineering Coordinator.
The Engineering Shift Leader will provide front line preventive maintenance activity and rapid diagnosis and repair of any breakdowns. This will entail prioritising the workloads and effective utilisation of the maintenance engineers within the team to provide an effective Maintenance service to the plant.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in heavier engineering/ manufacturing environment with formal mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications to HNC level or equivalent.
Demonstratable front line management/supervisory skills are required coupled with the capability to develop and train others within the team. Also you will have good communication skills and be capable of providing accurate reporting on maintenance performance. Experience working to and rolling out/delegating business KPI's is essential.
