The Quality Control Analyst will be responsible for testing Raw Materials and finished products, ensuring all samples are applied to the correct analytical specification, the results of which are entered into SAP. The position involves performing detailed chemical analysis of customer samples / non-conformances using laboratory equipment (GC-MS/UV-VIS/FTIR), including root cause and preventative actions.
The Quality Control Analyst will ensure that laboratory equipment is maintained in a good working order to ISO17025 requirements, using statistical techniques where applicable. Ensure the Quality Module master data is maintained, so that materials are tested against the current specification. Ensure that laboratory supplies are up to date and adequate.
It is essential that the Quality Control Analyst will be qualified with HNC, HND, Degree in Chemistry or equivalent qualifications. Have prior experience in laboratory and chemical analysis within the food industry or a related field. Have knowledge and experience in applied chemistry. Working knowledge of ERP systems and experience with SAP is desirable.
Shifts work on a rotating two week basis; Week 1: Monday-Thursday 6am-2pm Friday 6am-11am Week 2: Monday-Thursday 2pm-10pm Friday 11am-4pm
