Aspiring Food Manufacturing business requires a Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager to join their ever expanding company.
The Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Raw Materials and Packaging purchases, ensuring that these are met in the most efficient and cost effective way. Liaise daily with Supply Chain personnel and other key departments. Work within the remit of the departmental financial budget, ensuring all aims and objectives are met. Ensure Gross Margin and KPI reports are completed within time. Have the ability to negotiate all supply contracts, with the aim of securing the best rates. Continually measure product profitability and participate in cost reduction projects.
The Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager will be able to demonstrate a full understanding of Purchasing / Procurement systems. Have experience working in a Purchasing / Procurement environment, ideally with nutrition based products. Have the ability to think strategically, with excellent negotiation and purchasing skills. Demonstrate an understanding of budgets and cost management, along with KPI awareness. Have knowledge of legislative requirements relating to purchasing of Raw Materials and Packaging. Experience working in Food/FMCG or Packaging sectors a distinct advantage.
