Salary c£35000 + Benefits
Location: West Midlands ( commutable from Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Coventry, Walsall, West Bromwich, Tamworth areas )
The successful candidate will lead and manage Quality Engineering and Quality Compliance to standards at their modern manufacturing plant. Experience in a technical leadership role with commercial and budgetary experience is essential, coupled with a customer focussed approach to internal and external customer and consumer requirements for service and quality
This role will report to the General Manager with responsibility for the Quality Department, and will provide leadership and direction which meets internal and external customer and regulatory requirements for service and quality.
Responsibilities/Accountability's will include:
o Continuous improvement in Quality Performance and compliance with regulatory standards
o Ensure compliance with all company and legal obligations
o Continuous improvement to meet high quality performance metrics
o Manages SLAs to ensure quality standards and specifications are achieved delivering Site Quality KPI's
o Support the achievement of KPI's through leadership of the Quality Standards and strategies.
Development of a strong cohesive team
o Ensure the management of an effective performance management process across all levels of the department
o Ensure staff are motivated to achieve high standards of performance within the department to deliver required production plans
You are already likely to be an experience Quality Manager working in a precision manufacturing environment, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
o Leadership experience of leading a multi-disciplined function
o Proven record of delivering quality and process improvement and a knowledge of project management principles
o Highly results focused, and with a strong attention to detail
o Good interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly gain rapport and trust across all levels
o Strong influencer, able to challenge management and staff where appropriate
o Robust analytical and problem solving skills
o Excellent team player, able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and peers
o Able to work on own initiative and prioritise a variable workload effectively to meet demanding deadlines
