Maintenance Engineer, Scropton
I am working on behalf of a large food manufacturing company looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a vast array of experience with a proven track record of leading by example and continually producing high quality of work.
Role Summary
To ensure that all equipment, machinery and refrigeration is working safely and efficiently at all times through the accurate control of a documented PPM system.
To ensure that down time is kept to a minimum by a speedy response to any machine/equipment problem – reviewing why it happened; reporting why it happened and ensuring that corrective action is discussed, agreed, actioned and maintained.
Key Accountabilities
- Machine maintenance – ensure that all equipment/machinery runs efficiently through proactive and reactive maintenance.
- To be actively involved in suggestions and solutions to improve efficiency of plant and equipment always taking into consideration health & safety and food safety.
- To respond to breakdowns in a prompt manner ensuring that any corrective action is logged and monitored.
- To be able to self assess and conduct risk assessment and hazard analysis before completing each task.
- To report any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.
- To help provide solutions to area of non compliance which could result in loss to the business
- To ensure that all new machinery/equipment is commissioned in line with company procedure
- To report any accidents or near miss incidents
- To be able to formulate standard operating procedures for all maintenance tasks
In addition to these skills you will posses a good attitude to work, A can do attitide with a willigness to improve, by taking advantage of training courses. You should be able to lead by example within a team.
